“I have realized that issues of language, culture and identity are absolutely central to my students success, central to their development as people, and central to the survival and invigoration of their tribe. Connecting science content to these topics is essential for making science relevant and accessible. But more than that, culture and context are vitally important . . .   Often they seem worlds apart from the typical science classroom, but they can and must be brought together.” – ROKET alumni
